This successful online program evolved through adapting my in-person, play-based tutoring program to the virtual realm in 2020.

As a private Preschool Teacher in California, I applied to speak my native German at work when possible. When one specific family expressed their need to focus on teaching their children German while taking care of them this program was born. The fun of applying and teaching my German skills lead to more language students.

As I love my work I missed seeing and interacting with the children of my clients during the pandemic. This opened me to try connecting with them online. I was stunned, at how well the virtual world worked to engage. Many games could be played to have fun while practicing German.

The program grew through interested American families living in Germany and bilingual families in the Bay Area. From thereon play-based German Online Tutoring continued to expand. It has been serving preschool and school children for more than 2 years now.

My experience is mostly with children from 5-11 years old, residing in different countries.
